Companies and climate change
How can companies act in the fight against global warming?
This is a question that is being asked more and more urgently to all economic actors.
To shed some light on your thoughts, we have met with four companies of various sizes and sectors of activity that are very committed to the subject. They will share with you their progress in aligning themselves with the objectives of the Paris Accord.
Alain Grandjean and his colleagues from Carbone 4 will bring you the fundamentals of the subject, scientific bases to clarify the stakes, but also and above all, methodological elements to help you put your company on the path of the 2 degrees. With my fellow professors from ESSEC, we will bring you complementary views and a synthesis of all the contents.
This MOOC will not be a technical MOOC, this MOOC will not be an advocacy MOOC either, this MOOC will be a pedagogical object that will help you have a better understanding of organizational issues and managerial concepts in relation to climate change - a complex scientific topic. It is therefore a question of knowing more about how a company can take climate change into account in its strategy and its operations.
For those who wish to do so, we will provide you with tools and means to take action on these issues of climate change and energy transition.
International Business Capstone
The Capstone project is the culmination of the International Business Essentials specialisation, and brings together knowledge gained in the previous courses and applies this to a real-world scenario. Throughout the Capstone, you’ll be taught new skills, and will use the knowledge you have gained throughout the Specialisation to develop a business plan.
This course forms part of a specialisation from the University of London designed to help you develop and build the essential business, academic, and cultural skills necessary to succeed in international business, or in further study.
If completed successfully, your certificate from this specialisation can also be used as part of the application process for the University of London Global MBA programme, particularly for early career applicants. Giving Sense to Your Leadership Experience
With this course you will position your own leadership style and grow your resilience
In this course, second course of the "Inspirational Leadership" Specialization, you will discover the characteristics of charismatic leadership.
You’ll personally learn how to embody these traits through the “Savoir-Relier” (art of connecting and leading with sense) methodology, which covers 3Gs: being Genuine, Generous, and Generative.
You will then choose which style of leadership best fits you, why and when so you can adapt to more complex and difficult situations with resilience.
In a “Self-Portrait” and “Conversation” with your classmates, you will be able to adjust your own ideas about your leadership styles and strengths, allowing you to increase your self-awareness, improve your relational intelligence, and prepare you to confront crises and resolve conflicts.
You will also be better prepared to face difficult situations and make better decisions by relying on both your perception and analytical skills. All these skills will help you create sense in your team so you can lead it better.
This course is part of a Specialization on Leadership called “Inspirational Leadership: Leading with Sense”, so you may want to take the course “Building Your Leadership Skills” prior of taking this course.
As where in course 1 “Building Your Leadership Skills” you have mostly worked on your inner-self and on the relation between you and the other, in this course you’ll work on the relationship between you and the group, improving your leadership skills when interacting in a team.
Leaders from different organizations and participants of the HEC Paris Leadership Certificate, the program from which this course and specialization is inspired, will share with you their insights about what it takes to become a great leader in a group or team and what they are able to achieve now that they apply The Savoir-Relier methodology.

Forecasting Models for Marketing Decisions
How will customers act in the future? What will demand for our products and services be? How much inventory should we order for the next season? Beyond simply forecasting what customers will do, marketers need to understand how their actions can shape future behavior. In Developing Forecasting Tools with Excel, learners will develop an understanding of the basic components of a forecasting model, how to build their own forecasting models, and how to evaluate the performance of forecasting models. All of this is done using Microsoft Excel, ensuring that learners can take their skills and apply them to their own business problems.

This course will help you become an effective innovation team leader, take on a role as an innovation executive within a large corporation, or provide entrepreneurial activity. In addition, the knowledge acquired will help you plan, apply and execute innovation skills to develop and launch new products and services.
In addition, this online course will teach you how to use innovation and business mentality and methodologies to convert opportunities into product specifications, commercial concepts and eventual introductions of these products or services to new markets.

Project Management among Multiple Organizations with Trello
By the end of this project, you will be able to set up a Trello board to manage any type of project that requires multiple people doing various tasks in an effort to complete a common goal. I have created a scenario that we will use as our common goal.
You will gain hands-on experience by creating a board aimed at completing a domestic relocation. A domestic relocation is a household goods move that goes on within the same country. For example, if we are moving within Japan, a domestic move could be from Tokyo to Misawa. If we are moving within the United States, a domestic move could be from California to Colorado. If we are moving within Australia, a domestic move could be from Sydney to Adelaide. This scenario will include multiple professionals from different organizations in a coordinated effort to complete the inventory, wrapping, packing, loading, transport (via truck and/or rail), unloading, re-inventory, unpacking, and the set up of a person’s household goods at the final destination.
All of this and virtually any project involving multiple people can be accomplished by using Trello. Creating a workflow board with Trello will eliminate hard-to-track email chains where wires can get crossed if one single message goes missing. A Trello board keeps all of the important details in one place for all to see and track.
Note: This course works best for learners who are based in the North America region. We’re currently working on providing the same experience in other regions.

Note: This course works best for learners who are based in the North America region. We’re currently working on providing the same experience in other regions.
