Job Description
About the internship Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Design curriculum content for foundational literacy and numeracy, tailored to primary school learners. Develop lesson plans, activities, and assessments that align with national and international education standards. Ensure content is pedagogically sound, age-appropriate, and culturally relevant. 2. Translate curriculum content into interactive and engaging digital formats, such as videos, games, quizzes, and simulations. Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to ensure content is user-friendly and intuitive for students and educators. Incorporate adaptive learning features to meet diverse student needs and learning paces. 3. Stay updated on best practices, trends, and research in foundational literacy and numeracy education. Conduct needs assessments and consult with educators to ensure the curriculum addresses on-ground learning challenges. Align the app's content with the requirements of the local curriculum, educational standards, and target learning outcomes. 4. Review and edit curriculum materials for accuracy, clarity, and effectiveness. Pilot-test curriculum content in classrooms or with target user groups to gather feedback and make improvements. Incorporate input from educators, students, and parents to refine the learning experience. 5. Develop training materials and resources for teachers and facilitators on the effective use of the app. Conduct workshops or webinars to support educators in integrating the app into their teaching practices. Chimple aims to educate the children of the world using joyful mobile software that encourages self-driven learning. We envision children using the tablet as a lifelong friend on their journey of discovery. We believe that modern technology has a profound influence on learning that has yet to be utilized for learning by children. Chimple is among the 5 finalists in the competitive Global Learning XPRIZE, which challenges teams from around the world to develop open-source and scalable software that will enable children in developing countries to teach themselves basic reading, writing, and arithmetic within 15 months.
