Design Your Virtual Classroom with Canva
By the end of this project, you will learn how to design your virtual classroom using Canva. We will create a Zoom virtual background for your classroom and a virtual classroom design for your learning platform.
You will be able to incorporate a color scheme, images, and other design elements for aesthetically pleasing and value added business marketing collateral. We can use Canva to complete this project because it provides all the tools you need to create an organized and visually appealing product while offering a variety of options for sharing and collaboration. You will learn how to plan and organize your ideas and utilize graphic design tools as you create your virtual classroom.
This project will include intermediate to advanced level skills using the free version of Canva.
Note: This course works best for learners who are based in the North America region. We’re currently working on providing the same experience in other regions.
Leading Organizations
This course is the last course of the a Specialization on Leadership called “Inspirational Leadership: Leading with Sense”, so you may want to take the courses “Building Your Leadership Skills” and “Giving Sense to your Leadership Experience” prior of taking this course.
In this course you’ll get the opportunity to apply the skills learned in the first two courses of the “Inspirational Leadership: Leading with Sense” as an individual to a group setting. The group could not only be an organization such as a company or a team in a company, but also a private group such as your family or an association.
Specifically, you’ll apply the 4 steps of The Savoir-Relier protocol to your group:
1. defining the group identity by working on the group self-awareness,
2. creating quality relationships within the group,
3. working on resilience for the group to then be able to overcome difficult situation and
4. Making the organization grow by creating sense and meaning.
So if you want your group to grow as a successful leader in its fields, if you want to find your identity as a group and create shared values for it, or if you want your group to become more resilient in face of change and crisis, this course is made for you! Finally, at the end of the course, you would have build sense for your group in order to be more efficient.
Using real-life cases you will see how the genuine, generous and generative characteristics apply to the development of successful organizations. For example, you will apply the Relational Circuit to recruit effectively, or the Self-Portrait and Conversation exercises to create team cohesion and resilience to overcome crises and interpersonal conflicts. You will be able to form trustworthy relationships in spite of diverging or different views, and you will grow respect in your environment where sense will be a driver for you and your surrounding.
Leaders from different organizations, will share with you their insights about how they have applied the Savoir-Relier approach to their company and how it has made the company more resilience and competitive.

Digital Transformation

In this course, developed at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, and led by top-ranked Darden faculty and Boston Consulting Group global management experts, we talk about digital transformation in two ways. First we discuss the pace of change and the imperative it creates for businesses. Next we provide the context for this transformation and what it takes to win in the digital age. Then we walk through BCG's proprietary framework, which helps you identify key areas to digitize, including strategy, core processes, and technology.
By the end of this course, you'll be able to:
--describe the underlying economics of innovation, technology, and market disruptions
--weigh the pros and cons of current digital technologies driving advancement
--utilize BCG's digital transformation framework as a "how-to" for digitizing your organization
Supplier Management
This course will cover Supplier Selection and Evaluation, Contract Management, Quality & Risk Management, and Ethics.
One of the important decisions that a Procurement professional makes is selecting the right supplier.We will cover how to evaluate suppliers, using a very simple evaluation tool, to select the right suppliers. In contract management we will expose you to six different types of contracts that a procurement professional can consider for the contract. We will highlight 10 risk management strategies that will mitigate risks for your firm. Lastly, we will cover the very important topic of procurement ethics-what to do and not to do in ethically dealing with suppliers.
In addition to the videos, there are reading materials, and two cases to support your learnings. Both cases will be assessed via a Peer Group.
International Marketing & Cross Industry Growth Capstone Project
This course will act as the culmination of the Specialization: International Marketing & Cross Industry Growth. The aim is to help you apply what you have learned during the 16 weeks of the 5 courses and conduct an "action learning" project that will consist of the following:
1. Situation Analysis for their chosen company or brand.
2. Marketing Mix Analysis for their chosen company or brand.
3. Cross Country Innovation Plan when expanding abroad.
4. Cross Industry Innovation Plan when sourcing ideas or expanding into another industry.
All of these analyses will have templates that will be explained in the video lectures using an exemplar case, "Yuhan Kimberly." You will be required to choose a company on which these analyses will be performed. As such, the intent will be to provide you an integrated set of insights and application to a chosen managerial situation and problems at hand in the context of a specific region or country. You will be required to also choose another industry (from the ones covered in the Specialization: B2C, B2B, Healthcare, Hospitality, Entertainment, Sports) when developing your Cross Industry Innovation Plan. For example, if you work for a company in the Healthcare industry and have analyzed that company, you should then conduct a Cross Industry Innovation project using concepts from a different industry such as Entertainment.
Accounting Analysis II: Measurement and Disclosure of Liabilities
This course is the third course in the five-course Financial Reporting Specialization. This course begins with a discussion of current liabilities and contingencies and continues with long-term debt and bonds. The course next explores accounting model for leases, both lessees and lessors, and a discussion on deferred tax assets and liabilities. Participants will learn the latest accounting standards including the new accounting model for leases effective for public companies in 2019 and private companies in 2020.

Data-Driven Process Improvement
By the end of this course, learners are empowered to implement data-driven process improvement objectives at their organization. The course covers: the business case for IoT (Internet of Things), the strategic importance of aligning operations and performance goals, best practices for collecting data, and facilitating a process mapping activity to visualize and analyze a process’s flow of materials and information. Learners are prepared to focus efforts around business needs, evaluate what the organization should measure, discern between different types of IoT data and collect key performance indicators (KPIs) using IoT technology. Learners have the opportunity to implement process improvement objectives in a mock scenario and consider how the knowledge can be transferred to their own organizational contexts.
Material includes online lectures, videos, demos, project work, readings and discussions. This course is ideal for individuals keen on developing a data-driven mindset that derives powerful insights useful for improving a company’s bottom line. It is helpful if learners have some familiarity with reading reports, gathering and using data, and interpreting visualizations. It is the first course in the Data-Driven Decision Making (DDDM) specialization.
