Position : Aircraft Mechanic Intern - Nairobi
Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic Intern
Location: WCS - Wilson
Reports to: Aviation Maintenance Manager
Job Type: Internship (Full-time/Part-time)
Job Summary: This internship provides hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance and repair while working under the supervision of licensed aircraft mechanics. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about aviation.
Responsibilities :
All work stated below shall be accomplished under the supervision of the WCS Fleet Maintenance Manager.
Assist licenced mechanics in performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft systems, including engines, hydraulics, and avionics.
Learn and follow safety protocols, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Participating in troubleshooting, analysis and appropriate reporting and correction of all defects on aircraft.
Participating in the Compliance of all applicable service bulletins, instructions, directives as instructed.
Participate in Completion of all work records, parts usage records etc.
Support the team in inventory management, recording, and control, by tracking tools and equipment usage.
Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the working environment.
Participate in safe aircraft pushback and movements in the hangar.
Demonstrate commitment to the vision, mission, values and beliefs of WCS.

Qualifications
This position is open to Kenyan citizens only.
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Aviation Maintenance, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Basic understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
Strong interest in aviation and hands-on mechanical work.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Willingness to follow safety standards and procedures strictly.
Physical ability to work in confined spaces and lift up to [weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs].
Preferred qualifications
Basic tool knowledge or experience working with mechanical tools.
Familiarity with regulatory standards (KCAA, FAA, EASA, etc.).
Previous hands-on experience in an aviation environment is a plus, but not required.
