Qualifications
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
The minimum educational qualification for this position is an advanced diploma and/or a degree in the related field or discipline specific to the nature of the research project natural resources, environmental science, biology, horticulture, and agriculture.
Previous experience conducting tissue culture techniques would be considered an asset.
Occupational experience that includes crop management, crop sampling, soil sampling, and nutrient analysis, as well as running pot to plot level field experiments would be considered an asset.
You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail,
You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work
Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset
You meet CICAN Internship eligibility: Eligible interns: Between the ages of 15-30 (inclusive) at the start of the internship, Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons granted refugee status in Canada; Legally allowed to work according to the relevant provincial and Canadian legislation and regulations; Available to work for up to 4 months. Cannot be: Previous participants of a Science and Technology Internship Program; Employees of the hiring employer prior to the start of their internship (does not apply to previous coop students or student interns, although this must be clearly indicated by the employer)
