The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and improving the day-to-day operations of a business to ensure efficiency, productivity, and high-quality performance. This role involves managing processes, people, and systems across departments to align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Operations Oversight:
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve performance and productivity.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Management:
Supervise and coordinate activities across departments such as logistics, procurement, production, and customer service.
Lead, coach, and develop staff to meet performance goals.
Process Optimization:
Analyze workflows and identify areas for improvement or automation.
Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed and updated regularly.
Resource Management:
Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and cost-efficiency.
Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective service.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Reporting and Communication:
Prepare operational reports and present findings to senior leadership.
Facilitate effective communication between departments to support collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
Proven experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management
Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
Proficient in data analysis tools and ERP systems
Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
