Job Responsibilities
As a Computer Scientist 1, you will be responsible for:
• Crafting and implementing robust, scalable software solutions
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine requirements and successfully implement new features
• Mentoring junior engineers and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement
• Ensuring flawless integration of various backend services
• Participating in code reviews and maintaining high coding standards
• Applying proven development practices like Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery to uphold a high level of software quality
• Working within Scrum or similar agile frameworks to deliver projects on time
Required Skills/Experience
• 5-7 years of software engineering experience
• Strong coding experience in solving complex problems involving data structures and algorithms
• Experience building large scale web applications integrating with various backend services
• Sound knowledge of OOP with Java preferably being the primary programming language
• Strong experience in Java, JS, Microservices
• Solid understanding of technologies like AWS Lambda, SQS, Dynamo DB/SQL, AWS Cloud Infra, Google Firebase etc.
• Prior experience in mentoring junior Engineers on the team
• Should have worked on projects that follow Scrum or similar agile development methodology
• Experience in Continuous Integration and/or Continuous Delivery is desired
• Experience in applications that use Amazon AWS or similar cloud hosting and CDN technologies like Akamai will be an added advantage
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
