Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.

Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick, or Arc) to join or repair metal components.

Inspect materials and finished welds for strength, accuracy, and quality.

Measure and cut materials to specification using hand and power tools.

Maintain welding equipment in good working condition.

Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear at all times.

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and work area.

Identify and report any faults, defects, or inconsistencies in materials or workmanship.

Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time.

Assist in the fabrication and assembly of metal structures or frameworks.

Requirements:

High school diploma or technical certification in welding or a related field.

Proven experience as a welder or completion of a recognised apprenticeship.

Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc, etc.).

Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.

Understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to welding and fabrication.

Remuneration: NGN 100,000 - 150,000
