Internship Opportunity at RIFT-AR: Build the Future of Spatial Intelligence

About RIFT-AR

RIFT-AR is building the foundational layer for next-generation spatial intelligence; a privacy-first infrastructure that enables precise, predictive location technology without additional hardware.

We are reinventing how machines understand physical space. From tunnels to elevators, from dense urban canyons to hidden corridors; we map and infer what’s really happening using sensor data (GPS, IMU, barometer, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, step counts) and machine learning. No cameras. No violations. Just intelligent, invisible systems that sense and predict environmental context in real time.

What You'll Work On

We are seeking sharp, mission-driven interns (engineering or applied ML focus) to support our efforts in:

Sensor data analysis & modeling: GPS, IMU, barometric, Wi-Fi, BLE signal interpretation

ML model prototyping: signal processing, predictive context modeling, change detection

Location intelligence systems: behavior pattern inference, environmental state transitions

Feature engineering pipelines: turning raw sensor input into semantically useful features

Experimentation: testing in real-world scenarios, from metro stations to airports

You’ll work directly with the founders (seasoned CTO with 25+ years in geospatial systems in big tech companies). You will learn what it’s like to build zero-to-one infrastructure and contribute to real deployment efforts, not sandbox research.

You Might Be a Fit If You:

Are pursuing (or recently completed) studies in CS, engineering, applied physics, or AI

Have experience with sensor fusion, time-series, or sequence modeling (optional)

Are curious about context inference, non-visual environmental modeling, or multi-agent systems

Believe that technology should be privacy-conscious, scalable, and open

Thrive in high-ownership, fast-moving environments
