About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and driven Cost Accountant who is deeply aligned with our mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management & Accounting
Collaborating with the warehouse/stores teams
Maintain accurate records of all inventory movements including receipts, issues, transfers, and returns for service parts and CKD components.
Perform regular stock reconciliations between physical inventory and system records.
Oversee periodic and ad-hoc inventory counts; investigate, report and resolve variances.
Work with the Supply Chain and Operations teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce obsolescence.
Cost Accounting & Analysis
Working with materials flow and assembly teams track and analyze costs related to e-bus assembly and after-sales service activities.
Calculate and maintain standard costs for CKD parts and locally sourced components.
Prepare monthly cost of goods sold (COGS) reports and inventory valuation schedules.
Support the month-end and year-end close processes, especially, with inventory and cost-related journal entries.
Process and post various accounting transactions including AP,Reimbursements& Journal entries
Operational Finance Support
Assist in developing and implementing inventory and cost accounting policies and procedures.
Provide detailed cost analysis to support pricing, budgeting, and procurement decisions.
Working with store keepers, monitor inventory KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement in inventory accuracy and cost efficiency.
Prepare inventory related reports and documentation
Undertake bank and other related accounting reconciliations
Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and statutory accounting standards.
Support the finance manager during statutory audit and ad hoc audits
Support the finance team in implementing new financial systems, processes and ERP system enhancements related to inventory and costing.
Enforcing the company’s finance and procurement policies, assisting in procurement
Skills & Competencies
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in inventory and cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing or automotive industries.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field;CPA/ACCA preferred.
Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting
Analytical mindset, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong understanding of inventory valuation methods (FIFO, weighted average, etc.).
Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or Odoo) and advanced Excel skills.
Experience with CKD assembly and/or automotive parts inventory is a strong advantage.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
