Business & Testing Analyst

As a Business and Testing Analyst within our Strategic Platform Transformation team, you will partner with line subject matter experts to determine detailed business requirements, contribute to solutions and designs, and perform end to end functional testing. This role will allow you to leverage your expertise in promoting conversations and influencing decisions with Business / Stake holders and Technology.

Job responsibilities:

- Understand and analyze requirements and specifications to determine testing needs.

- Develop test plans and strategies that outline the scope, approach, and schedule of testing activities.

- Create detailed test cases and scenarios based on requirements and specifications to ensure comprehensive coverage.

- Collaborate with technology, business partners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure quality.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage where required.

- Possess thorough technical and operational knowledge within the QA area of responsibility.

- Document and report all errors/faults and ensure resolution, including re-testing as required.

- Coordinate tracking and resolution of defects using the defect management process in JIRA.

- Provide timely scorecard, status reporting, and participate in UAT communication calls with technology, QA, and program teams.

- Support integration of enhancements upon completion of testing, including training and updating standard operating procedures as necessary.

- Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to succeed in delivery.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Hold a Bachelor degree or above

• You must have 4+ years of relevant testing & business analysis experience

• Understanding of basic testing concepts, types of testing (e.g., functional, regression, performance), and testing methodologies

• Test management experience within the Financial Services industry supporting multiple lines of business delivering in a highly complex and high volume environment

• Ability to learn new tools, concepts & communicate clearly, effectively on both technical and business level

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Previous testing & business analysis working experience in Investment Banking business function is preferred i.e. Global Markets, Middle Office, Payments or Securities Services

• Experience working in Foreign Exchange (FX), Fixed Income & Derivative products and processes is a plus

• Experience working within an Agile development lifecycle
