MadlySane is a platform for emotional safety, clarity, and grounded connection. As a Volunteer Listener, you’ll offer calm, non-judgmental presence to individuals seeking a moment of support. You won’t give advice, diagnose, or intervene, you’ll simply listen with warmth and clarity.

Success in this role means showing up reliably, holding space without pressure, and honoring the boundaries that keep everyone safe. You’ll be part of a small, thoughtful team helping others feel seen and supported.

Responsibilities

• Hold space for one-on-one listening sessions via video
• Offer emotional validation without giving advice
• Use grounding tools to gently support the conversation
• Uphold confidentiality and emotional safety boundaries
• Follow session structure and escalation protocols
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with the team
• Attend one onboarding meeting and confirm your schedule

Qualifications

We welcome individuals from all backgrounds. You do not need to be a therapist or coach. Ideal candidates have:

• Strong emotional presence and listening skills
• Comfort with quiet moments and non-directive support
• Ability to follow boundaries and avoid advice-giving
• Reliable internet and access to a private space
• Warm, respectful communication style
• Experience in education, caregiving, support roles, or simply being a thoughtful listener

Time Commitment

• 1–3 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling
• Minimum 3-month commitment preferred
