Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Summer Intern to work within the Claims Department. We have several opportunities available to work with various business units involved in claims operations and support functions. This is a paid internship and the working hours are 37.5 hours per week during the summer months.

Our internship is designed for individuals who have completed at least their freshman year from an accredited college/university and will be continuing their undergraduate studies in the Fall.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will vary based on the business unit assigned but may include:

Assists team in working within our claims management system and other applications to resolve administrative and technical issues or assist with clerical tasks

Assists with review of vendor invoicing

Makes use of our internal reporting tools to produce reports upon request

Assists with review, maintenance and enhancement of team procedural documentation for claims financial workflows

Collaborates with other departments on assigned projects as needed

Assists with reconciliation of recurring reports related to our contact management and claims applications

Creates concise written and visual reports

Reviews and evaluates performance metrics, trends or other data analytics as needed

May be called upon to handle other duties as required

Qualifications:

Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college/university

Strong organizational and time management skills

Attention to detail and ability to prioritize

Strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer systems

Flexible and willing to learn how to use a variety of computer programs

Amica conducts background checks which includes a review of criminal, educational, employment and social media histories, and if the role involves use of a company vehicle, a motor vehicle or driving history report. The background check will not be initiated until after a conditional offer of employment is made and the candidate accepts the offer.
