What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Manage scheduling functions and patient registration for upcoming visits during one call
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and secure payment for financial clearance
- Collect and verify required demographic and financial data for pre-registration and future services
- Complete all pre-certification requirements by obtaining necessary authorizations from insurers
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on departmental needs
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2-3 years of customer service experience
- Experience in a professional, customer service-driven environment may substitute for college education
- Familiarity with working in a production-driven call center environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Two plus years of college or completion of a related medical certification program
- Previous telephone/call center experience
- Experience in pre-registration and/or scheduling
- Working knowledge of a Windows-based computer environment
- Ability to multitask across multiple systems simultaneously
