About the Role

AfterQuery is seeking Counter and Rental Clerk Experts to create and refine customer service and transaction challenges for training AI models. In this remote, flexible role, you will design and evaluate rental service scenarios that test the AI's ability to interpret and apply complex customer service principles, ensuring that our models can navigate real-world transactions, problem-solving situations, and rental operations with precision and practical insight. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between effective rental service practice and innovative AI solutions, making a tangible impact on the future of customer service technology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality customer service questions and case studies that challenge AI models on topics such as rental agreements, customer inquiries, pricing and upselling, damage assessment, reservation management, problem resolution, payment processing, and more.
  • Evaluate and validate model responses, offering detailed feedback to ensure accuracy and adherence to rental service best practices and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with a team of customer service and technical experts to fine-tune question difficulty and ensure content is both challenging and educational.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a counter clerk or rental agent in vehicle rental, equipment rental, or related customer-facing rental services with a robust understanding of rental operations and customer service.
  • Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Required Skills

  • Multiple years of counter or rental clerk experience, ideally across diverse rental environments (car rental agencies, equipment rental stores, party rental companies, etc.).
  • Prior involvement in customer service training, operations improvement, or service technology initiatives.
  • Experience with rental management systems, damage assessment, or sales techniques is a plus.
