Python Developer - Entry Level / Experienced (Remote: US/Canada only)

Role Description

We are looking for a strong Python Engineer to help design and build core backend services, data pipelines, and security analytics powering the Sentrilite platform.

You’ll work closely with the founder and engineering team on real-time event processing, rule engines, APIs, and security intelligence workflows.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys low-level systems, cybersecurity, and startup ownership.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with a focus on Python
• Strong foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming principles
• Experience working with Databases, including designing, querying, and optimizing
• Familiarity with hybrid-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

• Strong proficiency in Python (3.x)
• Experience with REST APIs, async processing, and backend architecture
• Familiarity with Linux systems, networking, or security concepts
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar data stores
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
