About the job

About the Opportunity:

The organization is a large provider of outpatient physical and occupational therapy services with over 1,200 locations nationwide. The Provider Credentialing Specialist will manage the credentialing and re-credentialing process for medical providers within the network, ensuring proper credentialing, appointment, and privileging with contracted health plans. The role supports maintaining accurate provider data and timely renewals of licenses and certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate provider data across all credentialing systems

• Complete and track credentialing and re-credentialing applications for timely enrollment

• Maintain current licenses and required documents for assigned providers

• Collaborate with HR to support onboarding of practitioners

• Keep clinicians, field leaders, and payers informed throughout the credentialing process

• Respond to credentialing questions and updates promptly and professionally

• Ensure credentialing work complies with federal, state, and payer requirements

• Cross-train and support broader team needs as required

• Perform other projects and duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent experience

• Prior experience in Medical Credentialing Process and Revenue Cycle

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with providers, leadership, staff, and external partners

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

• Proven problem-solving skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications

Compensation:

• Salary range: $18/hour to $21/hour

• Pay ranges depend on pay class, experience, background, and geographic location

• Benefits and eligibility depend on employment status and pay class (full-time, part-time, or PRN)
