About the job

About the Opportunity:

The Payroll Administrator performs all payroll processing activities, including maintaining records, managing involuntary deductions such as garnishments, processing timesheets, new hires, terminations, and leaves of absence. This role operates under the direction of the Payroll Director to ensure compliance with financial management and payroll administration policies.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely processing of bi-weekly and monthly payrolls via ADP Enterprise in compliance with labor regulations and accounting principles

• Audit, finalize, and process bi-weekly timesheets via ADP eTime

• Process wage garnishments and other court-ordered payments promptly, including required state reporting

• Stay current with payroll compliance and laws related to wages, paid leave, and FLSA requirements

• Assist employees with payroll, time off management, wage deductions, fringe benefits, and related inquiries

• Coordinate leaves of absence under FMLA, medical, or other unpaid leaves with Benefits

• Process manual payments and ACH transactions

• Handle unemployment claims and verifications as needed

• Perform additional job-related duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Experience with ADP Enterprise, eTime, Workforce Manager, and reporting tools

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

• Thorough understanding of confidentiality and non-disclosure standards in accordance with HIPAA

• Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision

• Proven ability to organize and execute assigned projects

• Strong urgency in meeting customer needs

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively at all organizational levels

• Bachelor’s degree in business or Human Resources from an accredited institution

• Experience managing multi-state payroll (10+ states)

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of payroll or accounting experience
