What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Assist patients with insurance verification and documentation, ensuring accurate capture of demographics and benefits eligibility
• Schedule clinical services while confirming patient details and available times
• Provide exceptional customer service, guiding patients through financial responsibilities and pre-registration requirements
• Enter patient and insurance data accurately into relevant systems, including procedure codes and authorizations
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies regarding patient information

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of experience in patient access, financial services, or healthcare-related roles
• Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of insurance protocols
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• 2-3 years of experience in patient access or healthcare roles
• Knowledge of hospital billing requirements and documentation processes
• Familiarity with Protected Health Information (PHI) and HIPAA regulations
• Bilingual skills are a plus
