About the job
Overview The Mechanical Engineer Graduate position is an exciting opportunity to join PM Group’s quickly growing Boston area team located out of Burlington, MA. Together we will all be sharing knowledge, learning, growing, and continuing to be an integral part of supporting PM Group’s ongoing expansion in the US. Our office will be executing cutting-edge projects for Cell & Gene Therapy, Biologics, and Pharma facilities – from feasibility through to qualification – for both local and international clients. Together with our clients and partners, we will deliver projects that improve the everyday lives of people across the globe.
This is an entry level career position, and we are looking for an Engineer who enjoys client interaction as well as the technical aspects of the position. This individual needs to have a basic understanding of the technical aspects of mechanical design engineering with a desire to learn to HVAC, plant & process utilities, plumbing, and compressed gas systems design. The ability to successfully handle multiple real-time complex project and operational tasks as well as maintain a strong work ethic and drive to deliver for clients as a collaborative colleague are a must for this role. The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will be mentored by the senior level Mechanical Engineering team members and will assist with the development of design documents such as P&ID’s, utility consumption summaries, plant & process utility distribution systems, pressurization plans, airflow diagrams, ductwork & piping plans, equipment/construction specifications, temperature & humidity control calculations, etc. Expect project work to include all levels of design: feasibility studies, conceptual & schematic design, construction documentation, and construction administration. Project sizes will vary and will consist primarily of life science industry projects doing both existing building improvements and new construction.

Responsibilities Essential Job Functions
- Assisting with generation of Calculations, Design layouts (ductwork and piping), Details and Schedule sheets.
- Assisting with generation of Data Sheets, Material Requisitions & Enquiry Packages for procurement of equipment
- Assisting with development of each package through Concept, Basic Design and Detailed Design.
- Interfacing with vendors and other disciplines ensuring the highest level of service is provided
- Delivery of agreed design scope within budget hours and schedule
