Job Description
Development Engineer Intern
Will assist with engine development and durability testing on the test cell and report writing. Prepare and review test plan and if cell is ready as planned. Will learn how to prepare test cell/plans, instrumentation calibration setting and cell maintenance. Some data analysis and Matlab experience preferred.
Design Engineer Intern:
Will create Design Manuals, along with providing support with Part Design, Drawings, and Assembly Manuals and other design-related tasks. Students will understand fundamental design industry practices and gain experience learning and using CAD (Catia) as well understand the unique design considerations and standards related to specific engine subsystems.
Electrical Engineer Intern
Will assist in drafting electrical schematics and layouts for upcoming projects, assist with PCB testing and documentation process. Knowledgeable with Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow and some programming language (C/C++) used to produce code. Must have some knowledge and classroom experience with basic controls and logic design; model-based embedded-software implementation and code generation.
Battery and E-machine/EV Intern
Will be responsible for testing, controlling, validating powertrain E-machine and integrating E-machine within Powertrain (hybrid or Battery electric Vehicle). Must have basic understanding of lithium-ion battery behavior and properties, circuit models, BMS algorithms and state-space models
AI Intern: Will assist in utilizing AI, data storage, SharePoint and Co Pilot. Understanding of Machine learning algorithms, programming (Python/R), analytics.
Quality Assurance Engineer Intern
Assisted with routine quality inspections and data collection to support ongoing process improvement, recording inspection results, labeling materials, and maintaining organized documentation. Supported daily production activities by preparing materials, monitoring equipment status, and reporting issues to supervisors. Helped maintain accurate documentation, including test records, audit findings, and quality reports. Validate raw stock to vendor certs and part drawings. Use hand measurement tooling to do basic validation of product.
Performance Applications Engineer Intern
Will assist in the development and validation of embedded powertrain control strategies for internal combustion engines and hybrid powertrain systems. The intern will work closely with controls and calibration engineers on model-based development, physical system modeling, and calibration tool creation, using industry standard tools such as Matlab/Simulink and Python.
