Role: Go-To-Market Associate (Commission-Based)
Ziqara is building an AI-native memory layer for teams. It is a private stack that remembers your work, context, and knowledge. You query it like you are talking to a sharp teammate instead of digging through folders and docs. We are early stage and experimenting quickly with how to bring this to market. We want a talkative, curious, people-oriented Go-To-Market Intern who wants a real feel for the AI and startup world by working close to founders, customers, and real deals. This role is commission-based. You earn when qualified deals you help bring in or move forward close. It fits someone who wants exposure and learning, not a full-time salary role.
Your Opportunity
- Meet people and represent Ziqara at AI, startup, and founder events in SF or NYC
- Chat with founders, operators, and potential customers
- Explain in simple language what an AI-native memory stack is and why it is useful
- Help find and qualify potential customers and spot teams who might be a good fit
- Get intros, set up light-touch calls, and capture basic context
- Warm up leads so founders can step in and go deeper
- Join occasional calls to listen, learn, and take notes
- Help with light follow-ups after meetings and track who is interested
- Bring back real-world insights: what people are confused about, what parts of the pitch land, what words they use to describe their problems
Your Skills and Experience
- Talkative, social, and comfortable starting conversations with strangers at events
- Wants to get a feel for the AI, startup, and GTM world without pretending to know it all
- Likes listening to how people talk about their work and problems
- Based in San Francisco or New York City and can attend events there in person
- Okay with some unstructured work. This is early-stage, not a big-company internship.
- Can commit around 8 to 12 hours per week for at least 8 to 10 weeks
- No prior sales or GTM experience required. Curiosity, energy, and follow-through matter more than your resume.
Compensation
The role is commission-based. You do not receive a base salary. For qualified customers you help source or meaningfully advance (for example, through events, intros, or warm conversations), you receive a commission if a deal closes. The exact structure (flat per deal, share of first contract, etc.) will be set clearly with you before you start so expectations are aligned. This is not a quota-carrying sales job. Think of it as a connector role where you get rewarded when connections turn into real business.

Details
Compensation: Commission on closed deals you help bring in or advance. No base salary. Location: Remote day-to-day, but you must be based in SF or NYC and able to attend events there. Time: About 8 to 12 hours per week, flexible around classes or work. Duration: About 8 to 10 weeks, with possible extension if it is a good fit.
