Job Title: Data Entry Specialist

Job Description Seeking a skilled Data Processor to support data intake, verification, coding, processing, and reporting activities. This role will focus on handling data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, cleaning and transforming datasets, and preparing reporting outputs for operational and analytical use. The position is ideal for junior engineers or high-end administrative professionals with a strong background in Microsoft Excel and data processing.

This is a 6–9 month contract with the potential for conversion to full-time employment (FTE) for the right candidate. The role is expected to be full time, with a requirement for local presence (remote flexibility may be considered for exceptional candidates).

Responsibilities

  • Process, verify, and validate large datasets with a high degree of accuracy
  • Perform coding, data transformations, and cleanup using Excel and other tools
  • Assist with production data processing, normalization, and trend reporting
  • Maintain and organize data assets in assigned systems
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues and discrepancies
  • Support reporting preparation, dashboards, and summaries for business users
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand data requirements and deliver outputs
  • Document standard operating procedures for dataset handling and processing
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data processing workflows

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, macros, VBA and/or Power Query)
  • Strong general Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Experience with data verification, processing, and quality control
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently under deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience with production data processing (industry data, manufacturing/production metrics, operations reporting, etc.)
  • Experience with Maintain-X or similar maintenance/asset management systems
  • Exposure to database tools (e.g., Access, SQL) or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Previous experience in technical, engineering, or process support roles
