About The Role
The Data Entry Specialist at Sharecare plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of patient information within our systems. This position involves meticulous data management, including inputting and updating patient data across internal platforms and client Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. The role requires strict adherence to HIPAA compliance standards and confidentiality protocols, supporting the Release of Information (ROI) process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Accurately input and update patient data within internal and client-facing systems
- Access and navigate multiple EMR platforms to retrieve, validate, and process Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness while meeting productivity benchmarks
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational privacy policies
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements
- Provide courteous, timely, and professional communication with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support the Release of Information (ROI) process by managing data requests efficiently
- Participate in ongoing education and compliance training related to information governance and HIPAA standards
- Report any unethical, fraudulent, or illegal activities as per organizational protocols
