About The Role
The Data Entry Specialist at Sharecare plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of patient information within our internal systems and client Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platforms. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of HIPAA compliance standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting and updating patient data, supporting the Release of Information (ROI) process, and ensuring data privacy and security. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Data Entry Specialist must demonstrate reliability, efficiency, and professionalism while collaborating with team members and external stakeholders. This role is essential in supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant healthcare data management services that facilitate better patient care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Accurately input and update patient information in internal and client EMR systems
- Access and navigate multiple EMR platforms to retrieve, validate, and process Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data entries in accordance with established standards
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and organizational privacy policies
- Support the Release of Information (ROI) process by managing data requests efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements
- Provide professional, courteous communication with internal teams and external stakeholders as needed
- Participate in ongoing compliance and training initiatives to uphold data governance standards
- Maintain current knowledge of HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
