About The Role As a Work from Home TurboTax Product Expert, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service by assisting TurboTax users with their questions related to tax software and filing processes. This position offers a flexible working schedule, allowing you to set your own hours between 8 am EST and 12 am midnight EST, Monday through Sunday. You will provide support primarily through live calls, helping customers navigate the software, troubleshoot issues, and understand basic tax-related questions. The role is ideal for individuals seeking a dynamic, remote opportunity that combines technical assistance with excellent communication skills, all while earning competitive compensation and bonuses.

Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should possess strong communication skills and a customer-centric mindset. Prior experience in accounting or tax preparation is not required, making this position accessible to enthusiastic individuals eager to learn and grow. Candidates should be comfortable with technology, quick learners, and able to articulate solutions clearly and empathetically. Basic computer literacy, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude are essential. The ability to work independently while managing time effectively is crucial for maintaining productivity and delivering high-quality support to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist TurboTax customers via live calls by answering questions related to downloading, logging in, basic navigation, importing documents, printing, filing, and answering fundamental tax questions.
  • Provide clear, empathetic, and effective guidance to help users resolve their issues and understand the software features.
  • Support customers in troubleshooting technical issues and guiding them through the software’s functionalities.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and patience, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Marketplace Performance Specialists (MPS) to enhance service quality and resolve complex queries.
  • Complete certification within three days and stay updated with product changes and updates.
  • Manage a flexible schedule, committing to at least 25 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours based on availability and performance.
  • Participate actively during the certification bonus period from April 9 to 15, working a minimum of 8 hours each day to qualify for the additional bonus.

You will receive a competitive hourly wage of $18.50, along with a $405 certification bonus upon successful completion of the training. During the peak tax season from April 9 to 15, you can earn an additional $5 per hour bonus for all hours worked, with unlimited hours available, provided you meet the minimum daily work requirements. The role provides flexible scheduling options, allowing you to work at times that suit your lifestyle, and the opportunity to increase your earnings by working more hours. Support is provided throughout your engagement, including guidance from Subject Matter Experts and advocates to ensure your success. Additionally, you will gain valuable experience in customer service, technical support, and tax software, which can enhance your skill set for future opportunities.
