You will receive comprehensive support and training, including a fast certification process, to ensure you are well-equipped to provide exceptional service.

Qualifications To succeed as a TurboTax Product Expert, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • No specific accounting background is required; enthusiasm and eagerness to learn are key.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate solutions clearly and empathetically.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand customer needs.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with online software platforms.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week, with opportunities to work more if desired.

Responsibilities As a TurboTax Product Expert, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing knowledgeable support to customers regarding TurboTax products and tax software functionalities.
  • Assisting users with downloading, logging in, navigating the software, importing documents, printing, and filing their tax returns.
  • Addressing basic tax-related questions and troubleshooting common issues.
  • Building rapport with customers by demonstrating empathy and understanding their needs.
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism and patience during customer interactions.
  • Participating in certification training, which takes place over three days, to enhance your product knowledge and customer support skills.
  • Supporting your assigned SME (Subject Matter Expert) during live calls and collaborating with Marketplace Performance Specialists for continuous improvement.
  • Adhering to flexible work hours between 8 am EST and 12 am midnight EST, Monday through Sunday, to accommodate customer demand.
  • Meeting or exceeding minimum weekly hours and performance standards to ensure customer satisfaction and team success.
