About The Role As a Work from Home TurboTax Product Expert, you will play a vital role in assisting TurboTax customers with their tax-related inquiries. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional service by answering questions related to TurboTax products and tax return software, including topics such as downloading, logging in, basic navigation, importing documents, printing, filing, and addressing simple tax-related concerns. This position offers flexible scheduling, allowing you to set your own hours between 8 am EST and 12 am midnight EST, Monday through Sunday. You will receive comprehensive training, including a fast 24-hour certification process, enabling you to confidently support customers and excel in your role.

Qualifications To succeed as a TurboTax Product Expert, candidates should possess strong communication skills and a genuine eagerness to assist customers. Prior experience in customer service or technical support is advantageous but not mandatory, as extensive training will be provided. The role does not require a background in accounting or tax preparation, making it accessible to individuals from diverse professional backgrounds. Candidates should be comfortable learning new software, articulating solutions clearly and empathetically, and managing multiple customer inquiries efficiently. A proactive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are essential qualities for this position.

Responsibilities Your key responsibilities will include providing prompt and accurate assistance to TurboTax users via phone or chat, helping them navigate the software, troubleshoot issues, and understand basic tax filing procedures. You will support customers in tasks such as downloading the software, logging in, importing documents, printing, and filing their returns. Building a positive customer experience through empathetic communication and problem-solving is central to your role. Additionally, you will participate in certification training, which involves a three-day process to become a certified TurboTax Product Expert. During your tenure, you will be supported by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Marketplace Performance Specialists (MPS) who will guide you through live calls and ongoing performance support. Flexibility in scheduling allows you to tailor your work hours while maintaining a minimum of 25 hours per week, with opportunities to work more hours if desired.

Benefits This remote position offers numerous benefits, including competitive hourly pay of $18.50, with an additional $405 certification bonus upon successful completion of training. During the tax season, from April 9 to 15, you can earn an extra $5 per hour as part of the Turbo Bonus Boost, provided you work a minimum of 8 hours each day on designated dates. The role provides flexible scheduling options, enabling you to work at times most convenient for you within the specified hours.
