About The Role As a Work from Home TurboTax Product Expert, you will serve as a vital support resource for TurboTax customers, assisting them with their questions related to tax software and filing processes. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service by guiding users through common issues such as downloading the software, logging in, navigating the platform, importing documents, printing, filing, and addressing basic tax-related inquiries. This role offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while setting hours that suit your lifestyle. You will be part of a dynamic team, supported by subject matter experts and performance specialists, ensuring you have the resources needed to succeed and deliver top-notch assistance to our valued customers.

Qualifications To excel in this role, candidates should possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others. While no specific accounting background is required, enthusiasm for learning and assisting customers is essential. Candidates should be comfortable with technology and able to articulate solutions clearly and empathetically. A proactive attitude, patience, and a customer-first mindset are key attributes. The ability to understand customer needs, provide accurate information, and maintain professionalism during interactions will contribute to success in this position. Prior experience in customer service or technical support is beneficial but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Responsibilities Your main responsibilities will include answering customer inquiries related to TurboTax products and tax return software, guiding users through the software’s features, and resolving common issues efficiently. You will assist customers with downloading and installing the software, logging in, navigating the platform, importing documents, printing, and filing tax returns. Additionally, you will handle basic tax questions and ensure customers feel supported throughout their experience. During live calls, you will work alongside a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will support you in complex situations. You will also be expected to meet minimum weekly hours, with the opportunity to work additional hours for increased earnings. Building a flexible schedule that aligns with your personal commitments is encouraged, with support available to help you succeed in your role.

Benefits This role offers numerous benefits, including competitive hourly pay of $18.50, a certification bonus of $405, and an additional $5 per hour Turbo Bonus Boost from April 9 to 15, with unlimited hours available during this period. Certification is quick, taking just three days, enabling you to start supporting customers promptly. The flexible schedule allows you to work anytime between 8 am EST and 12 am midnight EST, Monday through Sunday, giving you control over your work hours. Minimum commitment of 25 hours per week is required, with the option to work more if desired. You will receive ongoing support from dedicated SMEs and MPS advocates to ensure your success.
