As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a key point of contact for TurboTax users, assisting them with product-related inquiries and basic tax questions. Your role will involve providing clear, empathetic, and effective support to ensure a positive experience for our customers. This position offers flexible scheduling, allowing you to set your own hours within the designated timeframe of 8am EST to 12am midnight EST, Monday through Sunday. The role is ideal for those seeking a part-time or supplementary income, with the potential to work more hours based on availability and interest.

No specific accounting background is required, making this an accessible opportunity for individuals from diverse professional backgrounds who are eager to learn. Candidates should be comfortable using digital tools and software, as well as demonstrating a proactive attitude towards problem-solving. Empathy, patience, and the ability to articulate solutions clearly are essential qualities. Prior experience in customer service or technical support is beneficial but not mandatory, as comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assist TurboTax customers by answering questions related to product features, downloading, logging in, basic navigation, importing documents, printing, and filing.
  • Provide support for common tax-related inquiries, ensuring customers understand how to effectively use TurboTax software for their tax filings.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy while addressing customer concerns, fostering a positive experience.
  • Follow established protocols and utilize provided resources, including support from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Marketplace Performance Specialists (MPS), to resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Participate in certification training, which takes place over three days, to become a certified TurboTax Product Expert.
  • Build and manage your own flexible schedule, working a minimum of 25 hours per week, with opportunities to increase hours as desired.
  • Support customers via live calls, providing accurate information and guidance in real-time.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the support team by maintaining high-quality service standards and continuous learning.

Benefits This role offers competitive compensation at $18.50 per hour, along with a $405 certification bonus upon successful completion of training. Additionally, employees are eligible for a special Turbo Bonus Boost of $5 per hour for all hours worked from April 9 to April 15, with unlimited hours available during this period. To qualify, team members must work a minimum of 8 hours each day on April 13, 14, and 15. The certification process is fast and efficient, taking approximately three days, enabling new representatives to start supporting customers quickly. The flexible scheduling allows you to work at times that suit your lifestyle, with the opportunity to work more hours if desired. Support is provided throughout your tenure, including guidance from Subject Matter Experts and Marketplace Performance Specialists, ensuring you have the resources needed to succeed.
