About The Role We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Panera Bread - Fairfield. This full-time or part-time leadership position is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant, supervising daily activities, and leading the team to achieve operational excellence. The Restaurant Supervisor will work closely with the management team to uphold the company's standards for customer satisfaction, quality service, and compliance with store policies. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff, while also contributing to the achievement of financial goals.

Qualifications To be considered for the Restaurant Supervisor position, candidates should possess a combination of relevant experience and skills, including:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and health regulations.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in hospitality or management are a plus.

Responsibilities The Restaurant Supervisor will be responsible for a wide range of duties aimed at ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, including:

  • Monitoring team members to ensure adherence to service standards and company policies.
  • Supervising the service of guests, being attentive to their signals and needs to provide prompt assistance.
  • Assisting the manager in establishing and monitoring sidework duties and ensuring their completion.
  • Reviewing daily communication sheets from the previous shift and preparing reports for the upcoming shift.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment, including checking tables and dining areas for proper setup and sanitation.
  • Providing clear and effective communication to staff both verbally and in writing to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with attendance policies and being available to work on a regular basis.
  • Performing additional job-related duties as assigned by management to support restaurant operations.
