The Finance Clerk will balance all fluid milk movements within the plant and prepare invoicing of all fluids sold at the plant on a mid month and monthly basis. The position reports to the Finance Administration Manager who relies on the accuracy of the Finance Clerk role.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter...

• Interface with milk suppliers to ensure proper billing and payment of accounts Work with Production Supervisor to establish production requirements of fluids for scheduling and communicate needs.
• Create fluid POs and settle fluid loads. Process miscellaneous invoices as required.
• Prepare supplier milk classification and complete the Handler Non-pool Reconciliation report for FMO.
• Summarize and balance all fluids for month end and work with accounting manager on month end activities related to fluid sales and milk balancing Prepare and ensure all fluid invoices and internal data is processed timely and accurately.
• Assist accounting manager with reporting requirements in preparation for the weekly financial forecasts.
• Compile and report data for California green house gas compliance efforts. Compile and report production volumes for USDA and CDFA as required. Provide back up for office staff as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary to assist in the goal of having a timely and auditable P&L for month end close process.

You Are Best Suited For The Role If You…

• High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
• Direct plant experience in the dairy plant or food industry, specifically in accounting, dairy accounting, preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based accounting ERP applications. SAP experience preferred.
• Previous milk or production related experience is beneficial.
