Job Description

About the job

About Us

Scooter Your Way is an early-stage, pre-revenue startup preparing to launch this year. We are building a business from the ground up and are currently seeking our first pre-seed funding.

We are being fully transparent:

• No revenue yet

• No outside capital yet

• No cash salary at this stage

This role is equity-based and performance-based until we secure funding and reach our first profitable year. The sooner we raise, the sooner we launch — and the sooner everyone benefits.

The Role

We are looking for a Chief Capital Officer (CCO) to lead our capital strategy and fundraising efforts.

You will work directly with the Founder/CEO and collaborate with finance, sales, and strategy teams to:

• Secure our first pre-seed round of funding

• Build and manage an investor pipeline from intro to close

• Shape our financial story for investors

• Coach leadership during investor meetings and diligence

• Lead term sheet negotiations with legal guidance

• Establish repeatable investor relations processes for future funding rounds

This is a hands-on role — not an advisory position. You’ll be a key partner in launching the company successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive fundraising strategy and execution (angels, micro-VCs, strategic investors, family offices)

• Prepare investor materials with finance and strategy teams

• Develop and defend capital structure (SAFE, convertible note, or priced round)

• Build credibility with investors and manage relationships

• Advise leadership on valuation, term sheets, and fundraising decisions

What Success Looks Like

• Credible term sheets on the table from investors

• First pre-seed round successfully closed

• Investor pipeline established for future rounds

• Financial story and roadmap clearly communicated to investors

Who We’re Looking For

This role is ideal if you:

• Have personally raised pre-seed or seed capital for startups

• Maintain relationships with early-stage investors

• Understand early-stage capital structures and fundraising dynamics

• Are comfortable operating in ambiguity

• Are motivated by equity upside and performance-based success, not upfront salary

• Enjoy building something real and seeing it launch
