What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Provide customer service and administrative support to Habitat Program staff, including handling inquiries and requests
  • Oversee the Habitat Program email inbox and respond to external partners and the public
  • Coordinate business services, including inventory management and procurement processes
  • Offer administrative support to the Habitat Senior Management Team, including scheduling meetings and taking minutes
  • Assist with logistical arrangements for meetings and travel for Habitat Program staff

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, customer service, accounting, or general administrative work
  • Formal education may substitute year-for-year for experience
  • One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 1 may be considered as an alternative qualification
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a closely allied field
  • Two (2) years of responsible office experience at a senior clerical level or higher
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience providing administrative support to multiple mid- or upper-level managers in a professional office environment
  • Knowledge of basic administrative procedures and experience in proofreading and editing written documents
