About the Opportunity:

A leading men’s grooming and lifestyle consumer brand is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the Accounting team. This role is responsible for timely and accurate processing of vendor onboarding, purchase orders, invoices, and payments. The specialist will maintain vendor relationships, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and efficient in handling high volumes of transactional work.

Responsibilities:

• Review, validate, and process vendor invoices per company policies

• Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices using the accounts payable system (2-way/3-way matching)

• Assist with weekly payment runs including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments

• Coordinate vendor onboarding with internal and external resources

• Serve as point of contact for vendors regarding invoice status, payment inquiries, and discrepancies

• Resolve billing issues, pricing discrepancies, and purchase order variances

• Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9s and banking information

• Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger

• Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and aging reports

• Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on approvals for timely processing

• Ensure invoices comply with policies, tax requirements, and approval workflows

• Maintain documentation to support audits

• Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Accounts Payable experience

• GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• Experience with NetSuite required; Coupa experience strongly preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with large data sets

• Skilled in data entry and management

• Strong oral and written communication skills with customer service orientation

• Ability to present information and respond to questions effectively

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Detail-oriented, accurate, and curious
