Junior Internal Auditor

Introduction

The Junior Internal Auditor will support the audit team in reviewing business processes, controls, and financial systems to ensure compliance, efficiency, and accuracy. This entry-level position is ideal for a motivated graduate or early-career professional looking to grow within the internal audit environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with conducting audits across departments under supervision.

• Support the planning and execution of audit engagements.

• Perform basic testing of controls, transactions, and processes.

• Document audit findings in a clear and structured manner.

• Help identify risks and control weaknesses.

• Assist in preparing audit reports with actionable recommendations.

• Follow up on audit findings to track implementation of corrective actions.

• Maintain audit files and records according to internal standards.

• Previous experience in forensic audits would be highly advantageous.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• BCom degree in Internal Auditing, Accounting, or a related field.

• Up to 2 years’ experience in auditing or finance (internship or graduate trainee experience) (retail experience)

• Basic understanding of auditing standards and risk principles.

• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) (Preferable) or any other professional body.

• Driver’s license required.
