Job Description
Minimum Qualification and Experience
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Diploma in Secretarial Studies with three (3) years’ working experience;
OR
Stage III Single and Group certificates with nine (9) years working experience;
OR
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Secretarial Studies, Business Office Management, Business Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized and accredited institution;
Proficiency in computer applications; and
Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -
Taking oral dictation;
Word and data processing;
Managing e-office;
Operating office equipment;
Handling telephone calls and appointments;
Maintaining office diary and travel itineraries;
Managing office protocol;
Ensuring security of office records, documents and equipment;
Maintaining an up-to-date filing system in the office;
Preparing responses to routine correspondence; and
Managing office petty cash.
