Member of Technical Staff (Research) - Internship

AAI Labs is a diverse team of ML professionals creating custom AI solutions for government and private sector clients.

This paid internship offers students the opportunity to work on cutting-edge machine learning and deep learning projects that bring real value to businesses across multiple sectors including speech recognition, credit risk scoring, and transport fleet optimization.

Unlike traditional internships, our research program provides hands-on experience with production-grade AI systems, working directly with experienced researchers and data scientists on real-world challenges.

During your internship, you will:

Analyze data and build machine learning models to solve business problems.

Work with Python, PyTorch, Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.

Participate in data analysis, exploration, and feature extraction.

Create classical and deep learning-based models.

Build HTTP-based APIs for model deployment.

Implement effective automated testing practices.

Collaborate with commercial and technical teams on diverse AI projects.

What we're looking for:

Minimum requirements:

Fluent English language skills;

Strong Python programming abilities;

Math & Statistics fundamentals;

Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities;

Strong communication skills and attention to detail;

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to have:

Previous machine learning projects or internships;

Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks;

Interest in speech recognition, credit scoring, or optimization problems.
