Job Description
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Product Demonstrations – Conducting live product demonstrations for customers, showcasing features, benefits, and pricing options.
Sales and Targets – Meeting agreed-upon sales and collection targets with management oversight.
Customer Complaints – Addressing and resolving farmer complaints promptly to maintain satisfaction.
Farm Visits – Providing technical advice to farmers to help them achieve optimal returns from their livestock.
Relationship Building – Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, stockists, and distributors.
Presentations – Leading presentations at various industry events to promote products and services.
Distribution Network – Ensuring an efficient distribution system to make sure products are widely available and sales targets are met.
Market Feedback – Gathering insights about customer needs, competitor activity, and product performance to inform marketing strategies.
Customer Service – Providing high-quality service while adhering to credit control guidelines.
Reports and Documentation – Maintaining accurate daily reports on sales progress and customer activity, and sharing weekly reports with management.
Key Requirements:
Degree/ Diploma in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or related fields.
Minimum 3 years in technical sales within the animal feed industry is an added advantage.
Deep understanding of livestock management, livestock health, and extension services.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities; proactive problem-solving.
Good understanding of Food Safety Management Systems and experience in their application in the food industry - Knowledge and good understanding of ISO 22000 is an added advantage.
