Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Compiling & providing advice/reports on the predicted cost at the tendering stage to ensure that an accurate project cost is provided.
Evaluate all assigned projects & ensure compliance to all budgets and coordinate with project manager/stock controllers to review all projects and maintain budget estimates and track all invoices and work orders – Maintaining detailed records & purchasing databases (Google Docs).
Coordinate with various departments to bid for processes and maintain track of all project schedules and ensure compliance to all timeframes – Maintaining tracking documents – Progress
Reports & Certificates received.
Monitor all sub-contractor & supplier drawings at various intervals and maintain records of all installation and evaluate all applications for payment received from sub-contractors & suppliers.
Supervise recommended changes if required & efficient working of all sub-contractors.
Managing retention work for assigned projects.
Buying:
Obtaining prices for all supplies required to complete the works.
Identifying and assessing potential suppliers and products.
Ensuring that supplies & suppliers comply with safety, health, and environmental and other
requirements
Preparing and issuing contracts
Raising orders for supplies
Preparing and maintaining quantifying & order reports (Cost)
Ensuring the flow of materials to maximize efficiency
Negotiating favorable terms and delivery times with suppliers
Taking part in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
