Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented Junior In-House Counsel to support our legal and compliance operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with 2 - 3 years experience to gain in-house legal experience in a food manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts and internal policies
Support the legal team in ensuring compliance with Nigerian corporate, labor, and manufacturing laws.
Prepare and review SOP’s as required
Conduct legal research and prepare memos, opinions, and reports on relevant legal issues.
Support the management of legal documents, filings, and case files.
Help coordinate responses to audits, compliance checks, or litigation matters.
Attend internal meetings and provide basic legal advice to departments as required.
Qualifications / Experience
LL.B. and B.L.from a recognized Nigerian university and the Nigerian Law School.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a commercial lawyer.
1–2 years post-call experiencein a law firm or in-house legal department.
Solid understanding of Nigerian corporate and labor laws.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong sense of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
