Job Purpose:
To support Operations department in Food Point in ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective operations. The role is highly analytical, exposed to a data driven manufacturing environment and should have an in-depth knowledge of demand planning and forecasting parameters.
Key Result Areas:
Generate monthly and weekly demand forecasts and projections for the Emirates Economy Meal by analyzing trends and demand patterns and coordinating the report with different departments such as sourcing, NPD, specification, and CCU.
Communicate any anticipated constraints (e.g., low inventory, raw material supply issues, production delays, machine breakdowns, etc.) to management as needed by generating daily stock reports through ERP and sales reports in JD Edwards daily.
Coordinate with external departments like the I&I Team and the EW/WW/Food Store Team for airline forecast and sales and provide weekly updates to the customer development team on delivery dates and order statuses for non-airline Purchase Orders.
Conduct a capacity analysis comparing equipment to the Master Production Schedule, considering machine-specific requirements and available manpower capacity with preliminary forecasts received three months in advance, and update it on a weekly basis.
Schedule and lead the weekly planning meetings with all stakeholders, team leaders, and senior grades, once a week to share the production planning and discuss all raised issues.
Analyses expected shortages in meal supply three days before the uplift and communicate the findings to the East Wing assembly for them to formulate immediate solutions.
Provide daily updates of the master production schedule and list of priorities to food point operations to ensure data accuracy for the daily operation guide.
Deliver a monthly end-of-cycle meal performance report and casserole inventory to the management team for informed decision making.
Monitor daily Finished Goods Inventory, Sales, and Production to ensure adequate supply of meals is available while minimizing leftovers.
Provide training to the assistant planner to enhance their skills and knowledge in production planning and scheduling, also taking responsibility for monitoring and reporting on the assistant planner's performance metrics to upper management.
