Suit Tailor

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Suit Tailor at Trips Clothing Company, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional, well-crafted bespoke garments that reflect our brand's commitment to quality and precision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Construct and assemble bespoke suits and garments to the highest quality standards

- Take accurate client measurements and translate them into well-fitted garments

- Interpret and execute designs from technical sketches and pattern instructions

- Ensure all garments meet the brand's quality control standards prior to delivery

- Mentor and support junior tailors to improve their craft and overall output

- Collaborate with fellow tailors and the Production Supervisor to meet production timelines and order deadlines

- Strong knowledge of alterations, fittings, and adjustments.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation at all times

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a tailor, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead capacity

- Strong proficiency in bespoke and made-to-measure suit construction and cutting.

- Ability to draw, read and interpret technical sketches, designs and patterns

- Excellent hand and machine sewing skills with a keen eye for finishing and detail

- Good knowledge of fabric types, quality, and handling

- Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple orders simultaneously

- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude

- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

- Effective communication skills
