We are seeking a skilled Rotating Equipment Spare Parts Specialist to develop and implement a comprehensive spare parts philosophy to enhance equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and optimize inventory costs. The role involves strategic planning, critical analysis, and coordination with vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Criticality Assessment: Identify essential rotating equipment and spare parts.
• Stocking Strategy: Define appropriate stock levels, storage locations, and management approaches.
• Lead Time Consideration: Account for procurement and manufacturing timelines.
• Replenishment Strategy: Establish condition-based and time-based replacement strategies.
• Obsolescence Management: Develop plans for legacy parts, ensuring availability of alternatives when needed.
• Standardization: Reduce variability in spare parts to improve availability, and lower costs.
• Cost vs. Risk Analysis: Balance inventory investment with operational risk.
• Vendor & OEM Agreements: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to secure reliable supply contracts.
Work Experience
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• 8+ years of experience in Rotating equipment and spare parts
