Job Description

Job Summary

  • The ideal retail sales associate will be responsible for the sales of the company's products and services and meeting the set individual target, while working with others to meet the boutique's target.
  • The successful retail sales associate will guide customers through the shopping process, from initial greeting to final purchase, and provide a winning after-sales follow-up and support.
  • The ideal retail sales associate will help strengthen our customer relationships and convert shoppers into customers.
  • The ideal candidates for these roles will possess a natural ability to engage with customers and effectively resolve their concerns.
  • The successful retail sales associate should be passionate about people and eager to develop new skills in customer service and sales.

  • Deliver exceptional service to shoppers and customers that results in repeat visits and long-term brand loyalty
  • Collaborate with co-workers to achieve store sales goals through suggestive-selling, up-selling, and cross-selling
  • Inform shoppers and customers about product features and benefits to help them in making buying decisions
  • Maintain a tidy shopping environment and a welcoming atmosphere
  • Represent the company with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Treat all customers with respect and courtesy.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers as they enter the store
  • Answer customer questions about specific products/services and assist with requests
  • Provide accurate information to help the customer buy the company's products and services (e.g., product features, pricing, and after-sales services)
  • Sell, cross-sell, and up-sell the company's products and services
  • Inform customers about new arrivals and special offers
  • Stay up to date with new products/services
  • Restock and organize merchandise on the sales floor
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Keep the products and the shopping environment tidy, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere
  • Render periodic reports – daily, weekly, monthly, half-yearly, yearly, and as may be needed from time to time.
  • Provide customer feedback and environmental scanning reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have or be:

  • HND or B.Sc. in Social Sciences or related fields is a plus
  • 2 years or more of experience in retail sales and customer service, or a similar role
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and friendly
  • Competent simple math skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanour
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced with working in a team-oriented environment
  • Be young - Below 40 years
  • Have a good understanding of the retail sales process
  • Live in very close proximity to the job locations (Lekki, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Central Lagos).
