Regional Service Engineer

Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, the Regional Service Engineer (RSE) will direct technical operations and lead a team of Field Service Engineers (FSEs) across regional hub networks. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for maximizing energy uptime, supervising the rollout and setup of new solar charging hubs, overseeing preventive/corrective maintenance, analyzing power availability metrics, and ensuring seamless collaboration with the Network Operations Centre (NOC).

Key Responsibilities:

• Field Engineering Leadership: Lead, train, and supervise a team of Field Service Engineers (FSEs), instilling engineering best practices, safety standards, and operational discipline.
• Hub Deployment & Commissioning: Oversee the technical installation, electrical design, connectivity setup, and commissioning of new solar charging hubs across regional expansion territories.
• Uptime & System Optimization: Maintain maximum solar power availability and battery charging uptime; diagnose and resolve complex technical faults on solar PV arrays, battery storage systems, and electrical distribution lines.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Jaza Stars (hub operators), Regional Coordinators, and the central NOC data team to resolve real-time technical bottlenecks.
• Performance Analysis & Reporting: Audit daily technical logs, analyze site power data, and prepare comprehensive monthly technical and energy availability performance review reports for executive leadership.
• HSE & Compliance: Enforce rigorous Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards across all field installations, servicing operations, and tool management workflows.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Hands-on Expertise Over Degrees: Proven, deep technical mastery in solar energy systems, electrical design, and power installations. Practical hands-on capability is prioritized over specific educational background.
• Leadership Experience: Minimum of 6 years of progressive technical/engineering leadership experience within the renewable energy, telecommunications power infrastructure, or related industrial engineering sectors.
• Core Technical Mastery: In-depth practical skills in solar PV installation/maintenance, electrical panel wiring, battery storage integration, and electrical fault diagnosis.
• Analytical Proficiency: Strong technical data analysis and reporting capabilities using Microsoft Office tools and digital monitoring portals.
• Mobility & Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively across regional hubs in Nigeria as the company scales operations.

Remuneration & Benefits:

• Salary: ₦480,000 – ₦500,000 per month.
