Job Summary
The Health Educator is responsible for promoting wellness and healthy lifestyles by educating individuals and communities on health-related topics. The role involves designing and implementing health education programs, raising awareness on disease prevention, and encouraging positive behavioral change to improve overall public health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement health education programs and campaigns
Conduct community outreach and awareness activities
Educate individuals and groups on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, reproductive health, and disease prevention
Assess community health needs and identify areas for intervention
Create and distribute educational materials (flyers, posters, presentations)
Organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions
Collaborate with healthcare providers, NGOs, and community leaders
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health education programs
Advocate for healthy behaviors and lifestyle changes
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on activities
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Public Health, or related field
Additional certifications in health promotion are an advantage
1–3 years of relevant experience (entry-level candidates may be considered)
Strong knowledge of public health and health promotion principles
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to engage and work with diverse communities
Good organizational and planning skills
Basic knowledge of data collection and reporting tools
