Embedded System Engineer

Alqae Limited is developing a solar-powered indoor climate system with IoT environmental monitoring for off-grid households in Nigeria. We are looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to design and integrate hardware and firmware for the system.

*Responsibilities*

Develop firmware for microcontroller-based systems

Integrate environmental sensors (e.g. temperature, humidity, air quality)

Implement GSM-based data transmission for IoT devices

Support hardware prototyping and testing

Debug and maintain embedded systems

*Requirements*

Experience with microcontroller programming (Arduino, ESP32, STM32, or similar)

Experience with sensor integration

Experience with embedded C/C++

Familiarity with GSM or IoT communication modules

Hardware project experience is required

Contract: 3 months

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Potential for full-time role after contract
