Job Description

Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for:

• Taking the input from the customer/ business development team/ management and arriving to Technical feasibility study

• Doing initial concept designing and proving of concept and thus primary modeling and designing.

• Optimizing the design to make it manufacturing friendly and assembly friendly to improve its reliability and cost.

• Carry out DFMEA and identifying the design risks.

• Using tools like Tolerance Stake up, FEA for mechanical structure and CFD for flow and also other simulation software to improve the robustness of the design and optimizing the performance.

• Proto type functionality check and verification at lab and Validation at customer end.

• Cross functional review with Supply chain and process engineering team to catch any manufacturing or assembly or production related hurdlers.

• Patent registrations for the new concepts or ideas.

• Managing the change management through Engineering Change request by validating the effect on the design performance through validation, packaging check, effect on serving/ maintains or replacement market etc.

• Monitoring efficiency of the team members and improving their skill set and thus improving speed and quality output from them.

• Building and recruiting team members as and when required.

• Assisting marketing team for choosing right product from our standard range of products for a given application as and when required

The Successful Applicant

• Experience: At least 20 years of experience

• Should have degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Should have experience in electro-mechnical design.

• Should have filed patent and understands the process.

• Experience in product development - concept design to complete production part designing and validation.
