Central Control Room Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Central Control Room Engineer located in Kaduna.

The Central Control Room Engineer will be responsible for process control, electrical engineering, troubleshooting, motion control, and robotics to ensure the efficient operation of the control room.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Monitor and control all sections of the plant process lines from the CCR.

Provide constant feedback and guidance to shift coordinators, engineers, patrollers, and operators.

Diagnose and troubleshoot potential operating problems.

Review plant automation systems and make recommendations for improvement.

Prepare detailed reports on work undertaken.

Supervise staff to ensure smooth operation and cleanliness of conveyor belts.

Achieve production targets during respective shifts.

Requirements

B.Sc. in Chemical Processing Engineering or a related discipline.

5-10 years of working experience in a similar role as a CCR Operator.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of the iron ore production process.

Good knowledge of product quality parameters and quality control.

Problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good interpersonal and relationship management skills.

Strong supervisory skills and attention to detail.
